Video Editing Timeline

Editing Portfolio

This is a collection of projects I've edited (or co-edited), both commercial and non-commercial, from 2023 onwards.

These projects were created using a variety of NLE software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, Audacity and Coral Video Studio, in addition to Live Editing Software like OBS and VMix.

Editing Showreel 2025

My editing Showreel as of Mid-2025, more recent projects may be absent and some commissions have been omitted for copyright reasons.

Attic Archaeology

A short film I made for my second year of University, which was nominated for (among other things) Best Editing at the 2025 Fisheye Film Festival.

Edited in Premiere Pro, Audio Edited in Adobe Pro-Tools, Colour-Graded in DaVinci Resolve.

Love and Death

A short film made for the University of York's 48-hour Film Challenge, the entire editing process ended up being constrained to about 10 hours, including render time.

Edited in Premiere Pro with Audio Editing done in a mix of Pro Tools and Audacity.

The Meditation

A short film made for my third year of University, designed to look like it was made in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Edited using Avid Media Composer, Adobe Pro Tools and After Effects, with additional colour grading done in DaVinci Resolve.

The Rat's Nest

A short film made for the University of York's 48-Hour Film Challenge. The editing process was confined to one room and around 9 hours. The Film later went on to be shown in the Norman Rea Art Gallery as part of an exhibition on Violence.

Edited using Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Prometheus

A short film made for the 2025 LUMA Film Festival's 48-hour film challenge (coming third in the competition). Similar to the other 48-hour challenges, the editing was restricted to around 9 hours.

Edited using Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools and Audacity.

ROSES - Ballroom Dancing Coverage 2023

I was commissioned by YSTV to produce, direct, and do the live editing (vision mixing) for the coverage of the Ballroom Dance section of ROSES, Europe's largest inter-university varsity competition.

The aim of the event was to livestream the sport so parents of the competitors could watch regardless of where they were in the world.

Vision Mixed on OBS.

How Not To Do It (season 2)

Throughout 2023 I edited many episodes of the YSTV game show 'How Not To Do It'. This was an important learning curve for me, as it was the first non-fiction series I'd edited for. I had to focus on creating a dynamic edit in the 'YouTube Pitch' style whilst also keeping the episodes I edited standardised with the editing style of the other episodes of the season.

Edited in Premiere Pro.

Only Conjoin (pilot)

The Pilot to a Game Show created for YSTV in 2024, edited in a deliberately 'childish' style at the request of the broadcaster, which necessitated things like the use of Comic Sans as a Standardised font.

Edited in Premiere Pro and Adobe Pro Tools.

Chamber Pieces Video Essay

A Video Essay created for my First Year of University focusing on the 'Chamber Piece' genre within fiction film. My first attempt at editing in the YouTube video essay style.

Edited in Premiere Pro.
